We would like to welcome you to our website, whether you have been to our dental practice, or just want to know more about us.
Dentist on Grove, is located in Claremont, Cape Town, and was established by Dr. Bergsteedt and Dr Everson in July 2013. Dr. Rademeyer was practicing from these very premises for the last 30 years, but has recently retired. So there is lots of history and we want to continue serving the community in this way. We will always strive to impress you with our service, and it is our intention to make your visit a pleasant experience.
We regularly attend courses to keep us informed of all the advances in the field of dentistry, to enable us to offer our patients the best possible advice and treatment. Before treatment commences, a detailed treatment plan is prepared and explained to the patient. If the patient agrees with the plan and the anticipated cost, treatment can be initiated.
Dr. Andrew Bergsteedt qualified at Stellenbosch University in 1994.
I married my first love and have been working in a small village on the South coast of England for the last 10 years. It was a family friendly practice so we saw patients of all age groups and walks of life. We focussed on preventing oral disease and helping and motivating patients to learn to look after their own smiles.
I believe God given enamel is beautiful and precious, and so I will always strive to preserve as much of it as possible during procedures.
We are all so unique, so I don't mind spending the time to find out what you want and how I can best serve you.
I believe that your cosmetic journey should always start with teeth whitening. I use techniques that have been used across the world for nearly 3 decades. The research supports the materials used and international dental websites confirms it's top status. Because quality is important I make my own whitening trays as I believe this is very important aspect.
Teeth have a natural colour and darkens over time for a whole host of reasons. These whitening gels lighten teeth by breaking down the long stained molecules within teeth.
Our way of whitening teeth is gentle, easy to use and safe and I use it on myself, therefore can recommend it without reservation.
Snoring can be both funny and embarrassing, and is often caused by the vibration of the soft tissue of the airway. For some sufferers however, pauses in breathing or apnoea can occur and this is a more serious condition. Apnoea carries significant associated medical conditions, because not enough oxygen is absorbed into the bloodstream, whilst sleeping.
This lack of oxygen places significant stress on your body, putting you at risk for:
There is often further strain on relationships with your loved ones, because loud and habitual snoring will disrupt the sleeping pattern of those close to you and you might be experiencing excessive daytime sleepiness yourself.
What can be done?
I help to screen those who suffer with snoring for the more serious apnoea condition, working very closely and always in collaboration with specialist medical colleagues to diagnose and manage the issue. It is a journey worth taking as the quality of your life can be significantly improved through appropriate management. And when other medical treatments are not indicated I can help by means of a Dental Device, but only after detailed discussions with medical colleagues.
